IK ARDAS
Ik Ardaas bhaat keerat kee gur Raamdass raakho sarnaa-ee.
Ham avagun bharay ayk gun naahee amrit chadd bikhai bikh khaa-ee.
Maya moh bharam pai bhoolay sut daaraa sio pareet lagaa-ee.
Ik utam panth sunio gur sangat thi milant jam taraas mitaa-ee.
I, Keerat the poet, have only one prayer: O Guru Ram Das grant me thy protection.
I am full of mistakes. There is not one mistake I have not made.
I have turned my back on nectar and dunk poison instead.
I am in love with money and full of doubts.
I have attached myself to my wife and children.
But I have hear, that the highest path of all, is that of the Guru’s congregation.
There, the fear of death flies away.

Gur dithaa taa man saadhaaria.
Honored and praised is Guru Ram Das.
You are Nanak, You are Angad and You are Guru Amar Das.

ONE DAY
One day the day shall come
When all the glory shall be Thine

The thing is, I woke up one morning, not many years long ago, and discovered I was 70! How did that happen? I am grateful for this space to share the musical expression of my journey as a soul wrapped in this human form from then to now and beyond. These songs and mantras, and the collaboration with my musical friends, express the wonder and gratitude I have for the innumerable blessings of life ... more
